Discovery channel

On occasion i work with some film and television projects in the scenic painting dept. so i jumped at the chance to paint an oversize eye for the Discovery channel pilot 'the body machine'. I'm not sure at the moment when it will air, but I'm really looking forward to working on more of these episodes should it get picked up. The idea behind all this is that the people in the scene involving the eye are seated in some sort of stands, like an arena or football field, holding the cards black side facing out. The eye is actually painted on a series of 3' x 3' cards with the backsides of them painted black. On cue -all the actors flip the cards over and the eye is revealed..


we had to use a photo of my friend's eye and project it onto these placards -about 16' x 30'. his eyes are blue but i had to paint it hazel..

Mike Giant was in town for about a week on his way to Amsterdam - I managed to hook up a good sized wall for senor gigante, kwest and myself. stoked on this one.
